British Institute of Provocative Therapy

"Phil Jeremiah and Brian Kaplan are two highly effective, warm-hearted clinicians with an overriding commitment to patients' welfare. They are linked by one thought that the tragic mask alone is an insufficient representation of our lives. These guys are funny, and their surreal celebration of life's absurdities provokes patients' laughter, the sound of victory." (Frank Farrelly)

MBBCh. FFHom

Dr. Kaplan is President of the British Institute of Provocative Therapy. He has been in professional medical practice for 20 years and studied orthodox medicine, homeopathy, acupuncture and other natural therapies. He has been passionate about the powerful effects of provocative therapy since his original training with Frank Farrelly in 1996, and he continues to have regular contact with him.

Brian is an experienced communicator and teacher. As a regular lecturer to doctors and other health professionals, he believes that teaching has to be entertaining if much is to be retained. His latest book -
"The Homeopathic Conversation - The art of taking the case" was published in 2001, and describes the relationship between doctor and patient, therapist and client.

Hephzibah Kaplan - Assistant Trainer
B.Ed(Hons), Art Psychotherapist, Cert. in Psychotherapy Supervision

Hephzibah Kaplan is an untitled unrecognised persona non grata. Otherwise known as 'the wife of Brian' she has done very little in developing BIPT. She has not contributed in any way to education strategy or training; and she is rarely seen behind a video camera recording hours and hours of Provocative Therapy at training seminars. However, she has the cheek to call herself a Provocative Art Therapist.

Hephzibah is a State Registered Art Therapist who started training with Frank Farrelly in 1998. She has incorporated Provocative Therapy training into her art therapy practice and runs weekly Provocative Art Therapy workshops in central London. Hephzibah is also a psychotherapy supervisor and is part of the Supervision team at BIPT. Her website is www.art4theheart.com
